Ninth grade students and new students to the Central choir program are
eligible for either Central Men or Central Women. Singers learn
warm-ups, basic singing technique, study music theory through the
Master Theory method, and beginning sight-singing using solfeg.
Singers also develop part independence, work on establishing
appropriate rehearsal behavior and productive participation in a large
group, and settle into a diverse community of learning and artistry
that shares a deep passion for music that will continue throughout
their lives.
